Teton Valley, Idaho
If your family’s income is too high to qualify for Medicaid, you may qualify for Idaho’s State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). SCHIP is a health coverage program for children under age 19 whose family income is too high to qualify for Medicaid. There may be a small monthly cost for SCHIP coverage ($10.00 or $15.00, depending on income) for each child who receives SCHIP.
Idaho Health Plan Coverage: Children Health Insurance Plan (CHIP) / Medicaid
The Idaho Health Plan Coverage: CHIP/Medicaid provides low-cost or no cost health care coverage to eligible children. The plan provides a full range of health services including regular checkups, immunizations, prescription drugs, lab tests, x-rays, hospital visits and more.
To qualify a child must live in Idaho and be:
Under the age of 19
A U.S. citizen or legal resident
Within family income guidelines
