At the Community Resource of Teton Valley,
we see our role as
helping others help themselves.

We serve anyone in need in our Valley–all ages and situations. We work with each client’s individual circumstances, evaluating which resources might work best.

I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.

Alex Bontecou

Executive Director

As a Jackson native with generations of family on the Idaho side of the Tetons, and now as a Victor resident, Alex has watched Teton Valley grow and evolve, while maintaining its unique beauty and charm. Since becoming a permanent resident of Teton Valley in 2018, she has become more intimately connected with this special community and is thrilled to deepen that connection, working directly with fellow community members, at the CRC.

An early decade-long career as a gymnastics coach developed within her a passion for empowering others to be the best version of themselves and the CRC’s mission strives to do just that. She believes that a culture of neighbors helping neighbors and supporting one another is one of the most important factors in maintaining the integrity and beauty of this community that we call home.

Outside of the office, you’ll find Alex dancing at Music on Main or off in the mountains with her husband and pup.

Willy has been a valley resident for over 20 years and knows the CRC has an important role  connecting people in need to a network of resources. He has been involved with the CRC during its formation and as a board member. Estefania

Estefania Garcia

Bilingual Case Manager

Estefania Garcia was raised in Victor ID and lived in Mexico for 11 years. When she came back to the valley she found herself struggling. As a single mother of two, she got lots of help from a non profit like CRCTV and would love to give that back in a way. She is so exited to help people connect to resources just like others helped her.

Andrea

Andrea Swedberg

Food for Good Program Manager

Food is fun! And Andrea has been having fun with food her whole life. From cooking at an early age to making it her profession, Andrea has found a connection with food in all areas of her life. Whether providing her family with nutritious home-cooked meals or crafting up fuel for the backcountry, it’s the growing, prepping, execution, photographing – even composting, and now rescuing food, that bring her the joys of being immersed in food.

“Coming on with the Community Resource Center as the Food for Good Program Manager has been a new career highlight! Making sure perfectly edible food makes its way to families in need, to farmers as food for their animals, or at the very least composting it, is an important campaign for Teton Valley as well the whole planet.”

Eliza DeBone

Eliza DeBone

Food for Good Summer Intern

Eliza DeBone was born and raised in Teton Valley. She is our high school summer intern and is going into her Junior year. Eliza is currently working on a short film documentary about the Food for Good program here at the CRC. She is very excited to shine a light on the parts of the program that aren’t viewed by the public. There is so much behind-the-scenes action that would otherwise go unseen if it weren’t for this film. She has been interested in helping people her whole life, so when she got to combine that with her love for photography she was so excited to make this film come to life.
